According to India Times, several companies, including the US company Tesla, have plans to run a robot taxi service, but DD Chosing has taken the lead in launching the test service. The company has launched the service in limited areas of Shanghai.

The company has installed V2X hardware in its vehicles for the service in all areas where the service has been launched experimentally. Through this hardware, these vehicles can communicate with their customers. The service runs fully automatic vehicles that run automatically. However, for safety in this experimental service, a driver will be present in the driver's seat, but the vehicle will run automatically and the driver will take control of the vehicle when needed.
