The Arab world is in mourning

Sharjah: The Arab world is in mourning. According to reports, Sheikh Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the deputy head of the UAE state of Sharjah, has passed away.
According to Arab media reports, the Sharjah government has confirmed that Sheikh Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the UK's deputy chief of staff, has died.
A statement issued by the government said that the head of Sharjah, Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, has expressed his condolences over the death of Sheikh Ahmed bin Sultan.
The Sharjah government has declared three days of mourning for the deputy chief, during which the national flag will remain low. According to the report, mourning will begin after the funeral of Sheikh Ahmed Al-Qasimi arrives in Sharjah.
A government spokesman said condolences would be received over the telephone in view of the Corona threat, and that an announcement would be made soon.
It may be recalled that the Deputy Chief of Sharjah, Sheikh Ahmed bin Sultan Al-Qasimi, was the son of the former head of Sharjah, Sultan Al-Thani bin Saqr Al-Qasimi, and the real brother of Sheikh Saqr bin Sultan Al-Qasimi.
