Film Sholay's hero, comedian Jagdeep Jaffery has passed away..

Mumbai (Daily Pakistan Online) Bollywood comedian Jagdeep Jaffery was buried in South Mumbai after offering funeral prayers.

Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed Jafari has acted in more than 400 films in the Bollywood film industry under the name of Jagdeep Jafari. He died in Mumbai on Wednesday night. After noon prayers on Thursday, he was buried in Rehmatabad Cemetery in South Mumbai. Jagdeep Jaffery was 81 years old and had been ill for a long time.

Jagdeep Jaffery started working in the film industry in 1951 as a child artist. In Shami Kapoor's film Brahmachari, Jagdeep Jaffery made his mark as a comedian. He earned his real fame by playing the role of "Surma Bhopali" in the movie Sheela Afaq.

Syed Ishtiaq Jafari's son Javed Jafari is a big name in the Bollywood film industry. He has played negative roles as well as comedy. Meezan Jaffery, grandson of Jagdeep Jaffery and son of Javed Jaffery has also stepped foot in Bollywood.
