Petitions for construction of temple in Islamabad: Islamabad High Court reserved its decision.

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has reserved its judgment on whether the petitions filed against the construction of a temple in the federal capital are admissible or not.

A single bench of the Islamabad High Court headed by Justice Amir Farooq heard the petitions on Monday.

Urban, director of the Islamabad Development Authority (CDA), told the court that work on the temple had stalled due to a lack of a building plan.

The head of the bench questioned the CDA officer as to where the plot was located and for what purpose it would be used.

In response, CDA officials said that action has been initiated on a request made by an organization working for the welfare of the Hindu community for allotment of plots for the temple complex in Sector H-9-2 of Islamabad in 2016. Happened

Officials said the request was sent to various agencies, including intelligence agencies, for legal action.

He said that in 2017, about four kanals of land was allotted to the Hindu community for a temple, community center or cremation ground.
