In December 2019, the corona virus was apparently confined to China, but within a few weeks, the corona virus that caused the Code 19 disease became a global epidemic.

The virus, which causes respiratory illness and can be spread by body fluids - such as mucus and saliva particles - has so far been reported in at least 188 countries around the world.

Scientists, health officials and governments around the world have urged citizens to walk a social distance and avoid going out for essential purposes.

As of the afternoon of July 12, 1,27,21,778 people worldwide have been infected with the corona virus, with a total of 565,219 deaths, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University.

In addition, 7,05,950 people infected with the corona virus have recovered.

According to the Qatari news agency Al Jazeera, after 7 months of the global epidemic, there are still a few countries in the world from which not a single case of corona virus has been reported.

These countries include the Caribbean, the Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, North Korea, Palau, Samoa, the Solomon Islands, Tonga, Turkmenistan, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.

Turkmenistan is located in Central Asia and North Korea in East Asia, while other countries are in the Oceania region.

It may be recalled that in late January this year, China confirmed the spread of human-to-human virus and the death of four people due to it.

The first death from the virus was reported on January 11, and within a month it had crossed the 1,000 mark.

The World Health Organization later named the virus COVID-19 so that the disease would not be attributed to any animal or region in light of its code of conduct.

After spreading to more than 100 countries in March, the World Health Organization declared the corona virus a global pandemic.

On June 28, six months after the first case of the global epidemic was reported, the number of people infected with the corona virus worldwide exceeded 10 million.

The United States is currently the most affected country in the world by the corona virus, with a total of more than 3.247 million cases and more than 134,000 deaths.

In second place is Brazil, where the total number of cases is more than 1.839 million, while the number of deaths has exceeded 71,000.

After Brazil, India is the country most affected by the epidemic, with more than 849,000 people infected with corona and more than 22,000 dead.

At present, most of the countries of the world are moving towards partial lockdown by eliminating complete lockdown, however, the fear of a second wave of virus remains.

In recent days, Uzbekistan has again imposed a lockdown and Hong Kong has also closed schools again, while due to the increase in cases, Australia has closed state borders after 100 years and a lockdown has been imposed in Melbourne.

As a result, the World Health Organization (WHO) has once again called on countries to step up their efforts to curb the spread of the corona virus, saying that it is still possible to control it and that an aggressive strategy should be adopted.
